"Tiring of his promises to divorce his wife, she ended the affair and became engaged to someone else. Mr. Pugach responded by hiring three men to throw lye in her face, leaving her disfigured and all but blind. The crime and trial were tabloid sensations. But the Pugaches were merely at the end of Act 1."

What is wrong with women. If any one thinks "Oh how lovely" to this story, needs to think again. What a weak women. Women who get physically abused and then go back to their abusers have serious self esteem issues. She should be ashamed of the role she is setting to other women.

Ambrosh, No one said this story was lovely! This story as as strange as it gets! It took her 14 flipping years to come together with this dude, who sat in jail for blinding her. New Yorkers are a glutton for punishment.
