Looking For Solution For Something That's Not A Problem. Humorous and serious breakdown of the fixation the world has on the cause and effect of sexuality. 1. Sin. It's not God's will. Wow, that was easy. Eve was made for Adam as a child factory and/or his masturbation machine. Anyone who would choose this alternative way of life, is jus

It's amazing how many people, by simply focusing on its cause, would imply it's something to be cured, a disease. What idiots!

Looking for a solution for something that's not a problem- I like that!

I guess some people need to figure out why they are so uncomfortable (include any negative feelings with feeling uncomfortable), but for those who truly are uncomfortable seem to be so closed to any facts that may present themselves. They close their minds to all possibilities, I think because they feel they may feel even more uncomfortable. I really like those who are not religious normally in their thinking, when this issue comes up, they use God....shame!

If your own sexuality does not bother you, don't be bothering anyone elses.

its funny heterosexuals can be offensive in their own little perverted ways like tv glorifies it as always, and now we have everyone else involved in an overwheming sex crazed society like hollywood makes us all into their dancing marionettes...does anyone see that we are all being controlled and our minds are not our own anymore? May sound strange but if you sit and think about how tv, radio, the computer, people talking about news, your mind has no portion left that you as your own person can come through. Its happening to all of us.

My opinion is that homosexuality is a perverted sex addiction by people who enjoy playing with themselves and having orgasms, but since they can't reach their own genitals that they love, they go for the same sex genitals of others. It is obvious that the purpose of sex is procreation, and it's pleasurable so that creatures will do it, so it naturally follows that homosexual sex is not "normal". If you want to do it in private that's your business, but stop trying to convince the world that it's normal. It's not and it's disgusting. I admit that it's "sexy" to see two beautiful young women kissing, but the thought of lardass Rosie O going down on another woman is enough to gag me!

A little off the subject but Chomsky clarifies what ails us in our fascistic, hegemonic dogma.

What do YOU think? Not about the cause (s) but the implications of people treating it with such passion and anger?

I think that person (for whatever reason) is uncomfortable with themselves, (I'm not calling all homophobes closet homosexuals),maybe some are just confussed. Pushing some to be tolerant can make them want to pull away more. I think elliminating ignorance about it would go FAR!

ok that would be the cause- the implications of passion and anger??? could = hate crime could = suicide ,could = a bitter person.

The three biggest markers for homophobia-

        1). Lack of education

2). Lack of life experience (parochial/backwoods)

3). The biggie - supressed homoerotic tendencies.

Show me a guy (and it is almost INVARIABLY a guy) with a rabid, irrational hatred of gays and I'll show you a guy who is conflicted about his own manhood and sexuality.

"Ah, the titillation!" Darn near to pornographic writing there Trnscnder[typed that with smiles] Watermelons? really? Huh, never heard of that one, the education you can get from the net.

Now as far as I'm concerned with your question, "Sin. It's not God's will." Religion you can take out of the equation, there are too many religions, and the bible if not incomplete, has certainly been rewritten too many times to use that as a guide. "Against Nature", I think that should not be included either, since in the animal world I do believe same gender sex is prevalent.

So, we are left with your other issues about this matter, Genetic and the environment, well maybe in some case then again maybe not in some cases.

I really don't think there should be any issues, gay or straight, purple or pink, we are all homosapiens, humans, PEOPLE.

Oh, and "badonkadonk" is that really a word? sounds like something I would make up :)

The psychologists I've chatted with all say that homosexuality

is multicausational; ie, several factors contribuiting to thier orientation. My OPINION is simple: they don't want special breaks,or a special quasilegal category, that might not be entirely legal. They want the rights due to them as American Citizens. They just want to live thier lives in peace. Now the

pseudoreligious extremists; who seem to demand the Mercy and forgiveness of Jesus for thierselves and thier families will attempt to consign those they DON'T like to Old Testament harsh judgement. This despite the Biblical warnings against just that!!! For one= "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Another goes something like "Judge not lest ye be judged ;for it is by the standard of your judgement that you shall yourself be judged."

Yeah, the marriage issue. Wow, can you imagine if someone told YOU that you don't have the right to to marry the person of your choosing, as long as it's mutual. They would be shooting someone in every capitol.

2nd class citizenship: Hey if you are straight, you can go to Iraq and bring somebody back and marry them. If you are gay, you can't even bring them here from Mexico. Maybe that's why we have so many illegals?

Your misuse of this passage (Matt. 7:1) is understandable, since it has become a common weapon among those whose piecemeal knowledge of the Bible is just enough to make them a useful tool in weakening its value as the standard for all people in all times in all situations.

In context, the passage does indeed warn us against judging others, but ONLY if judment is by any standard OTHER THAN GOD'S WORD, the Bible.

It does not tell us to be undiscerning dolts, as you imply.

"If we stand for nothing, we'll fall for anything."

The Bible clearly does against passing judgment, but against doing so unfairly (John 7:24).

Quite the contrary, we are told in Corinthians 2:15 by Paul that Christians are called to make "judgments about all things". Our judgment, though, should not be based on what God has NOT revealed. It must be based on what He has revealed to be valid.

Some people are straight, some people are gay and some people swing both ways. That is just the way it is. I don't spend alot of time worrying about it. I don't meet someone for the first time and start wondering who they sleep with. It's silly.

          Sometimes I meet someone for the first time and wonder if they'll sleep with ME! :}

I hear people ranting about marriage being "sacred" or "sacrosanct." I asked a fellow Texan, just before Texas passed a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, if he felt that any union that wasn't sacred or sacrosanct should be banned. He stated "Absolutely!" I then asked him how he felt about banning my marriage since I wasn't married in a church, but in a courthouse. "But it is still sacred!"

he claimed. I informed him that my wedding had nothing to do with religion and was NOT sacred or sacrosanct. He stormed off muttering something about "libruls" and probably voted to ban gays from any sort of legal unions in Texas.

Apart from the inquisitive nature of humans, who cares why we are gay? I mean, I am happier being gay than I am thinking about why I am. Put another way, that is akin to me thinking wow, I am white! I lack rhythm, I am a lousy athlete, and I cannot jump. According to Hollywood movies those are the credentials one needs to be African-American. I am not too concerned with why I am white. Nor does it matter to me if someone is black, bisexual, Hispanic, or Jewish. As long as said people will sit down with me and have a drink, I don't care about any of those things.

Here's another off way of looking at things- from a more ethereal point of view:

They say that in heaven all souls are asexual. When we choose to be born in this world, our dominant side is inherently most present, no matter what 'body' we're in, whether male or female. This is an alternative explanation as to why transgenders feel "i'm a girl in a boy's body"....

As for my take on gay, str8, or bi....Bi's have it best since they get to sample the entire buffet, lol..

Who was it that once said "I'm glad I don't like spinach because if I liked it I'd eat it and I hate spinach."

            It's kind of like that.
